Connecta: fresh and vibrant in 2021

Connecta will be held once again in 2021. After a promising start last year, the event will take place once more in digital format: with an expanded concept, the leading digitization event will provide inspiration and new ideas.

After more than a year, the world is still in the grip of the pandemic. Last year and with a heavy heart, the organization team decided at short notice to hold the renowned digitization event purely online. But concern for the health of all participants meant that this step was unavoidable, especially since it was unclear whether all guests would be able to get to Bern due to current travel restrictions.

The first COVID-19 vaccines are now available, but the infection rates across Europe are still worrying. Early in the year, it was clear to the organization team that there would also be no physical event in 2021. The feedback from participants at the first all-digital Connecta was so encouraging that this format will also be used in 2021.

New formats and 60 experts

In recent years, Connecta has become one of the most important digitization events. It is now known far beyond the borders of Switzerland. An important component has always been the opportunity to exchange views with experts, who pass on their knowledge to guests at workshops and in talks. This autumn, the formats introduced last year will be expanded.

Connecta will provide insights and inspiration in four formats:

• Connecta TV 1 – Banking: Connecta TV, which was introduced last year, will host a second channel! The first programme will cover digitization in banking. A lot’s happening here – just think of fintechs, Bitcoin, blockchain and open banking. 
• Connecta TV 2 – Commerce: The second channel is dedicated to commerce. The coronavirus crisis has certainly changed a lot of things while accelerating some developments. 
• Connecta Talk: Podcasts and video interviews will provide diverse insights into the world of digitization. 
• Connecta Blog: The blog does more than just accompany the event. It’s where our speakers can develop their ideas and topics to stimulate debate. Contributions will be added daily from Monday, 2 August up until the event. Keep an eye on the Connecta website: www.swisspost.ch/connecta
